Every second trade business here can't be found online at all — and plenty that can look abandoned: no reviews, no hours, an old Facebook page doing the job of a website. A proper site makes you the professional choice by lunchtime.

In August 2026 we surveyed Goodwood's plumbers, electricians, panel beaters and hair salons on Google. It's not just missing websites — it's missing reviews, hours and photos too.
Source: our own survey of Google results for Goodwood, August 2026. Four trades surveyed; Google caps results, so the real numbers are higher.
Site, Google profile, hours, photos, and a way to gather reviews — the whole picture, because a gap anywhere loses the call.
Goodwood customers search on their phones. Your site loads fast, reads clearly, and the call button is right there.

Goodwood has real trade skill in it — solid tradespeople who've been working the same streets for years — but our survey found that skill isn't showing up online. We counted 101 trade businesses and 55 of them, more than half, have no website for Google to point customers to. That's not a small gap; it means a customer typing a trade plus "Goodwood" into Google has a coin-flip chance of not finding a real business at all on the first screen. And it's not only the businesses with nothing — 18 of the 32 electricians we found online have fewer than 5 Google reviews, which reads to a searching customer as a business that's either new, quiet, or not really paying attention to its own listing. In a suburb where half the competition is invisible and much of the rest looks half-finished, a properly built site and a maintained Google profile don't just help you compete — they put you ahead of most of the field by default.
Picture a plumber who's fixed half of Goodwood's geysers over the years by word of mouth, but has never claimed his Google listing and has no website at all. The next burst pipe on a Sunday morning goes to whoever Google shows first — and right now, that's not him. A one-page site with clear contact details and hours, paired with a claimed and photographed Google profile, turns decades of good work into something a stranger searching at 7am can actually find and call.
